RYAN FURLONG DIRECTOR / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Furlong's passionate and uncompromising vision for big ideas has evolved in the filmmaker's directing, as well as writing and producing celebrated projects. In 2006 Furlong directed and produced the short black comedy The Gift that was selected to participate in various festivals (The Edmonton International Film Festival and The AGH International Film Festival). In the same year Furlong also shot BARK, a short online documentary. The short covers intimate recording sessions with Blackie & the Rodeo Kings in Bearsville N.Y. with the late Richard Bell, Garth Hudson of The Band, and record producer Malcolm Burn. 

Later in 2006-07 Furlong directed and produced two films for broadcaster Bravo! inspired by the music of Bob Lanois. Snake Road and The Vampire. The latter was short-listed for The Toronto International Film Festival's "Top 10 Short Films of 2007". Furlong's stories are sincere, passionate, original, and entertaining with a confident and original visual style and acute sensibility. He has been commissioned to direct special projects by a number of internationally recognized artists, musicians, and organizations. He is currently focusing on developing personal projects including a debut feature length film and a television series.
